One Month Old

Posted by Eric Osborn on Thursday, July 22, 2010, In : Baby News
Sarah is a month old.  She has grown quite a lot.  She is responding to objects and is particularly fond of a little zebra.  She has been reacting to certain stimuli with smiles.  Sarah is fantastic in every way.

C. elegan Research

Posted by Eric Osborn on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, In : General Spiel
I was offered a research position at the college.  I'll be establishing a C. elegan library and deploying new software, worm tracker, to follow C. elegan behavior under normal conditions and under anti-psychotic medication.  This is going to be a great summer.  Sarah will be here around the 27th of June, I have a fantastic job, and Lynette has 7 weeks off.

Holy Crap! That's a Big Belly!!

Posted by Lynette Osborn on Sunday, May 2, 2010, In : The Getting Fat Chronicles
So, random people have been constantly commenting to me, "Wow, you're ready to pop," or, "Any day now, huh?"  Even one of my professors asked me if I was going to make until next week for the final.  Naturally, to all I reply, "Actually, I have two months left."

The other night I was lying in bed with a blanket draped over my belly, and Eric just stared at it and said, "You have a really big belly."  I replied, "Well, I am pregnant."  Then he said, "No, but I mean it's really, really big."  To...

4D Images of Sarah

Posted by Eric Osborn on Sunday, April 11, 2010, In : Baby News
These are the most recent ultrasound images of Sarah and a couple 4D images.  The 4D are not the best because right now Sarah is breech and it was hard to acquire a decent image of her face.  There is also an image of her leg.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               ...

Bigger Belly

Posted by Lynette Osborn on Sunday, April 4, 2010, In : The Getting Fat Chronicles
I am over six months pregnant and actually feel better now than I have my entire pregnancy.  My only complaint is that my sciatic nerves often get pinched and make my butt ache.  Eric and I were doing yard work the other day, and he commented that I reminded him of the stereotypical pregnant lady who walks around holding her lower back...but I hold by butt, because that's where it hurts.                                                                                                           ...

Behwwy

Posted by Lynette Osborn on Monday, February 15, 2010, In : The Getting Fat Chronicles
"Behwwy" is what Eric says whenever he rubs or pats my tummy, and it is definitely growing, as can be seen in the picture included.  Belly Bands are my new best friend, and I've had to put most of my clothes to the back of my closet, because it will be some time before I am able to wear them again.  My limited wardrobe surprisingly isn't bothering me too badly.  As long as I'm comfortable I haven't been particularly concerned about looking stylish.

I felt Sarah Elizabeth for the first time t...

A Star For Lynette

Posted by Lynette Osborn on Sunday, February 14, 2010, In : General Spiel
For Valentine's Day, my sweet Eric gave me a star.  Well, okay...I guess he can't technically do that, but he did get a star to be named after me.  :)  I have to admit that I have always wanted my own star.  The star is named "Lynette Bahr Osborn" and can be found within Ursa Major.  We looked it up on all the sky charts we could find and printed it out.  We have the exact coordinates in the sky.  It has a greenish hue.  I don't know if it is really a far away planet, a galaxy, a sun, or what...

Gender News

Posted by Eric Osborn on Thursday, January 28, 2010, In : Baby News
Today we found out the gender of the little one!  We also received a lot of good photos for everyone to see.  We saw feet, vertebral column, femurs, and many other pre-ossified bones.  We arranged the baby's room in gender neutral way so the we would be set for either (if you would like a live web feed to the baby's room, so you can see the baby when ever contact me and I'll tell you how to view it).  The baby weighs 9oz right now and is doing great.  We have concluded that the baby's name is...

Not All Baby

Posted by Lynette Osborn on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, In : The Getting Fat Chronicles
Many of you might notice that I look a bit chunkier in this photo.  Well, I could blame it all on baby, but I have to admit that I have gained more weight then is necessary for baby to survive.  For a little while, I ate quite a bit of ice cream.  It tasted quite good, and it seemed to sooth my volcanic-type ruptures coming from my tummy.  My goal is to gain about 100 pounds with this baby.

Anyway, we will find out the baby's gender at the end of this month, so we will know to call it Sarah,...
